The exterior envelope of the ETA Factory, a model factory for the manufacturing industry, is constructed from DUCON panels that are 11 meters long and 5.5 centimeters thick.
The slenderness ratio is 1/200.
In addition, the slender UHPC facade panels are thermally activated through the installation of capillary tube mats.
The facade and roof panels are integrated into the building’s energy cycle and contribute to cooling the machinery or heating the building as needed. Monitoring of the system has shown that the DUCON energy facade requires only 600 W of input power to generate 22,000 W of cooling capacity.
