The main entrance and side entrance of the SEVENS shopping mall in Düsseldorf has been cladded with DUCON as white architectural concrete ceiling panels, facades and column encasement. The challenge has been the precise fabrication and installation of the panels—some of which were curved—which interlocked like pieces of a puzzle. In the covered entrance area, the individual panels were lifted into place and secured using chain hoists that had been pre-installed on the existing ceiling. (2011)
