The Liberty Park at the new World Trade Center in NYC has been designed by Santiago Calatrava. A major part of the park is the white architectural concrete out of DUCON as stairs, facades, copings, planters and benches. For examples 110 differently shaped benches will be installed, which are 2” to 3.5 inches slim and executed as cantilever elements, which are only anchored at the footing. They have to resist earthquake and soil pressure and they are aligned to represent large-scale planters.
