A thin DUCON-facade has been executed for a new-built hotel complex in Reutlingen, Germany. The unique characteristic of the white DUCON panels is the ultra-slim and light-weight construction.

Ultra-thin facade elements:
Type A: 55mm thin, up to 20m2
Type B: 80mm thin, up to 27m2
Compared to standard concrete facades (150-180mm) the dead-load could be reduced by more than 50% by the DUCON solution. In addition the project is located in a high-range earthquake zone (Zone 3). The thin DUCON facade has been designed to resist the dynamic loading by earthquake.
