Sustainable construction with large-format facade panels

DUCON offers the thinnest solution in the field of (reinforced) concrete for load-bearing components. This also includes facades. Compared to traditional facade elements, a significant amount of component thickness can be saved without compromising performance. Thin, large-format curtain walls from DUCON offer numerous advantages and can be combined with standard fastening systems thanks to specially developed installation components.

The potential savings in materials are not limited to the facade elements themselves. The reduced weight of the components due to their low thickness significantly reduces the loads on the building's shell. This means that the dimensions of the shell can be reduced. There is also potential for savings in the substructure. Depending on the desired layout of the facade, either the number of fasteners required or their thickness can be reduced.

And the advantages of DUCON don't end there when it comes to saving materials. Compared to traditional reinforced concrete, the weight of the components is usually reduced by half, which also halves the number of transports required to the construction site. In addition, smaller lifting equipment is required for assembly. Thanks to the large panel formats and the associated reduction in the number of facade elements, the duration of assembly is also reduced.
