History

1999

Dr. Stephan Hauser, inventor of the system, registers the first international patent for DUCON technology, UHPC combined with metallic and non-metallic micro-reinforcement and 3D stiffness control of the concrete cross-section.

The international trademark DUCON® is registered.

2004

DUCON GmbH is founded on the basis of the first international patent.

The international MicroMat® brand is added.

2008

First patent from DUCON for the use of multiple layers of carbon fiber (non-metallic).

Multiple patents for specific applications.

2010

DUCON Europe GmbH & Co. KG is established for operational business, while DUCON GmbH holds the patents, trademarks, and intellectual property for the licensing business.

2011

General type approval No. Z-74.1-89 for DUCON as an impermeable coating layer (WHG impermeable layer) with a minimum thickness of only 55 mm, which remains impermeable even when cracked.

2025

General type approval No. Z-15.4-391 from DUCON as load-bearing components for precast and in-situ concrete applications.

Today

Since 2004, more than 450 projects have been carried out in Germany and abroad.

DUCON is considered one of the thinnest and strongest concrete technologies, whether for load-bearing or reinforcing components, for waterproofing and seamless floor systems, or for earthquake and explosion protection. In addition, it is one of the most sustainable solutions because it is thin and lightweight and fulfills the entire life cycle (cradle-to-cradle).
