Whereas conventional reinforced concrete produces approx. 5-8 cracks per meter, DUCON produces approx. 80 cracks per running meter. The secret is reduced mesh size of the reinforcement to only approx. 12 mm. The fine crack development means that the crack widths are about 1/10 of the crack width of reinforced concrete and the component is practically tight with crack widths of < 0.1 mm.
Conclusion: Cracks yes, but technically insignificant.
