The standard design of DUCON® shows a homogeneous structure in cross-section with uniform and directed reinforcement arrangement over the entire cross-section height. Based on this basic principle, however, further design variants are possible with an additional arrangement of displacement bodies such as hollow spheres to reduce the dead weight or steel spheres to increase the radiation protection as well as the resistance against penetration or bombardment. In addition, superstructures with integrated heating and cooling lines have already been realized.
