Carbon concrete

Carbon concrete belongs to the class of textile-reinforced concretes. This is a composite material consisting of a concrete and a reinforcement of carbon in the form of mats and bars.

DUCON® is the precursor of textile-reinforced concrete and carbon concrete. For the past 10 years, this high-performance composite material implements what textile-reinforced concretes strive to do. Due to the high cost of carbon, ecotoxicology, limited recycling possibilities and the lack of adjustability of the material, DUCON® made a conscious decision to use steel reinforcement. In addition, DUCON GmbH holds a property right for the multilayer reinforcement structure consisting of carbon, glass fiber or steel mesh since 2008.
