Bridge rehabilitation
Germany's infrastructure is dilapidated and in need of revitalization.
In the bridge modernization program established by the federal government two years ago, a total of 4,000 highway bridges are to be renovated by 2032. That is 400 per year.
For example, the use of DUCON enables rapid renovation and static reinforcement of bridges and highways in Germany. Traffic could be allowed to pass in a very short time (within a week) (e.g., Limburg Bridge). The properties of DUCON also promote the static load-bearing capacity and reinforce the service life of the component. This solution would not only be more sustainable, but also more cost-effective. In addition, the security of the infrastructure (KRITIS) would be strengthened.
