Concrete consists of a mixture of cement, water and aggregate. Depending on requirements, concrete additives and admixtures are added. Cement serves as the hydraulic binder.
The DUCON® composite material consists of a self-compacting high-strength concrete and a spatially linked micro-reinforcement. Depending on the mixing ratio, concrete compressive strengths of up to 200 N/mm2 can be achieved. In order to be able to process the fresh mortar well and to completely fill the reinforcement package, its consistency must be made very flowable by using high-performance superplasticizers.
