Approval for DUCON as a load-bearing component

DUCON has received a code approval as a load-bearing component from the German regulation institute DIBT!

Thanks to the approval granted, it will be even easier to use DUCON in the future and benefit from its numerous advantages. Whether as static ceiling strengthening, curtain wall facade panels, or load-bearing panels for natural stone or brick cladding, the simplified design approach of the load-bearing DUCON cross-section always follows the same method and can usually be provided by a structural engineer already involved in the project without creating additional interfaces.

Following previous highlights such as the thinnest self-supporting folded staircase, the thinnest roof shell (Tsuboi Award), and the thinnest solution for structural protection (anti-terrorism, KRISTIS), and ultra-slim large-format facade panels, DUCON is now also proven to be one of the thinnest concrete technologies with high load-bearing capacity, durability, and protective effect. In addition, the thin and lightweight construction enables a completely recyclable, sustainable solution. Due to its high durability, the building material is designed to last 100 years and, after separation into high-strength aggregate and metal reinforcement, can be recycled or reused as often as desired. Its ecological footprint is low compared to other concrete materials.
