ETA factory among the four nominees in the category “Concept”
After the ETA factory has already won numerous awards, it was also among the four nominees in the category “concept” at the German Federal Ecodesign Award in 2017.
The competition, which is run by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety annually awards products, services and concepts that stand out for their outstanding ecological quality, innovative approach and high design quality. The ETA factory, a model factory of the manufacturing industry, offers unique opportunities for research. For this purpose, the outer shell of the factory is equipped with thermally activated DUCON facade panels.
In a multi-stage process, the quality of the submissions is evaluated by experts from the Federal Environment Agency, the Advisory Council and the jury. Here, the entire product life cycle is considered. In addition, effects on everyday culture and consumer behavior are taken into account. Further information about the competition can be found here.
