In the construction of the One World Trade Center in New York, DUCON® concrete was used to protect against explosion in several sensitive areas due to its high energy absorption capacity. For example inside Vehicular Security Center as wall protection against truck-bombs, protection of air-ducts by duct shields and basement walls of One WTC.
